McCall has the Most Beautiful Hotel in Idaho
I've been counting down the days 'til Christmas break and day dreaming of a cozy, snow capped mountain vacation. I'm not talking rustic cabin here... more like a resort with everything I could possibly want on-hand and a spa to whisk away my holiday stress. But where will I find such a place, you ask? Recently Architectural Digest listed their picks for most beautiful hotels in each state and Idaho's is about as dreamy as you can get.
Located in the gorgeous mountain town of McCall, The Shore Lodge can now add the title of "Most Beautiful" to its list of awards - including being a finalist in the 2015 Sunset Travel Awards, 2016 Finalist for Best in the West Hotels by Condé Nast, a 2016 Trip Advisor Best in the Nation Finalist, and 2016 Forbes 4 Star Award Winner for their on-site spa, The Cove. The Shore Lodge is definitely an eye-catcher year round, especially from the Payette Lake, but looks even more magical during the holiday season as it becomes decorated with snow.
Visiting the Shore Lodge is one of our favorite things to do when we're in McCall. Their lakeside restaurant, Cutwater, is open 365 days a year and serves up some of the best breakfast in town. Guests to the Shore Lodge can also enjoy warm drinks at their coffee shop, cocktails at The Bar, or delicious steaks from The Narrows Steakhouse (opening January 2018). A variety of activities are available for guests year round including snowshoeing and snowmobiling in the winter.
