There is a lot to enjoy along the Boise River Greenbelt. It stretches from downtown Boise to Garden City The entire belt stretches for 25 miles. Click here to check out an extensive map. Although it has gone through some transformations and updates along with everything around it, the Boise River Greenbelt is celebrating 52 years. In that time the Treasure Valley has undergone some serious growth.

The area is having a very hard time keeping up with the housing strain that comes with a fast influx of people moving here. Now Garden City could be the next hot spot in the Treasure Valley. According to Sally Krutzig with The Idaho Statesman, what originally was supposed to be a a nine-story, 148-room boutique hotel as approved by Garden City's City Council four months ago in March now may be the third tallest sky scraper in the Treasure Valley. The only buildings taller are Boise’s Eighth and Main Building and the U.S. Bank Building.

There is a Las Vegas developer who has proposed plans to use the land known as the Boardwalk to locals, off E. 41st Street, to build a massive 252-foot-tall condominium building. The Garden Design Review Committee has already viewed the plan that includes 111 condos spanning 18 floors with 2,000 square feet of commercial space on the ground level. There are more building planning around that area of Garden City as developers use the area with easy access to the greenbelt.

If you would like to check out more things to see on the Boise Greenbelt here are some recommendations from my experiences.
