Easter turned violent on the Boise Bench. About 9:45 p.m. several shots were fired during an argument, leaving one man behind bars and another in serious condition.

According to an article on KTVB that details the incident, the shooting happened in the 1800 block of Owyhee St. in Boise.

The shooter has been identified as 22-year-old Christopher Moorefield of Boise.

According to authorities, at some point during the argument, the victim got into his car to leave when Moorefield shot several times.

Luckily, he was able to drive away and officers found him at the intersection of Vista and Overland.

Officers tracked down Moorfield and he was booked into the Ada County Jail on felony charges of aggravated battery and a firearms enhancement.

The victim's name has not been released. We'll let you know more as this story develops.

It always breaks my heart when this kind of violence breaks out in our community, especially on a holiday that should be all about family, friends, and new beginnings.
