Little lies our parents told us as kids and then forgot to tell us otherwise as we grew up... The one that sticks out to me is the truth about Elvis' death...

It was actually my Grandpa Jack who told me that Elvis pushed too hard while he was on the toilet and pushed his insides out so for YEARS I was very cautious not to pull an Elvis when I went to the bathroom. After I became an adult I realized that he actually had a heart attack, but he DID die on the toilet which is interesting!

My dad told me that stop signs in shopping centers were merely a "suggestion", and maybe from a legal standpoint that's true but I grew up thinking you just decided how you felt when you approached a stop sign and went from there.

Was there some absurd thing your parents told you and never corrected?
