Let There Be Light – Ugly Lamps?

My wife and I have VERY different taste in home decor.  It's generally a peace conference when it comes to decorating.  We both try to give a little and keep the other feeling comfortable.

I love messing with her about purchases "I want to get her."  I was shopping at Lowe's in Meridian for a few items this weekend and came upon these lamps.  These are not my wife's style in any way...so I texted this picture and said "We can't afford not to get these."  She wasn't enthused about the idea.

Is there something in your house, or an item of clothing, or a place you tolerate simply because your boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife loves it?  How far does your tolerance stretch?
