Lava Hot Springs Idaho Holiday Lighting

This could be a fun road trip in the winter. About 4 hours away is Lava Hot Springs, Idaho and they turn very festive for the holidays.

They are having the official holiday lighting on Friday the 30th. Their website states: The event will kick-off with a Holiday Lighting on Friday 6:00 pm at the Veteran’s Park. Caroling and touring the houses to follow.

The gingerbread houses on display is the big attraction as all kinds of community members help make this possible. It is a 4 block display with local businesses showing them off as part of a guided tour. They will have them on display until the end of December and then announce a winner to follow. It sounds like they will be letting the public vote on the winner and have a chance to win some cool prizes from local shops.
