KTVB News Channel 7 hosted a one-hour live telethon for Boise Police Corporal Kevin Holtry brought in the $17,000 needed to purchase an all-terrain track wheel chair.

It’s a motorized chair that will allow him continue to enjoy the outdoors even though he is paralyzed from the waist down and his left leg amputated above the knee.

Donations poured in from the community, police officers from departments all around the valley and local businesses.

When the telethon ended they were $1,400 shy of the goal. So close!!

So, a Nampa man who had been eating lunch while watching decided to make up the difference! What a blessing!
