Jamba Juice Closes in West Boise
I remember when Jamba Juice was the hot spot. When they debuted back in the 90's the cool thing to do was to go get a smoothie, but those days are over in West Boise.
Jamba on McMillan and Eagle Rd. has closed their doors and according to boisedev.com a bubble tea and smoothie chain called Tbaar will open in its place.
It's interesting to watch trends come and go. I'm a big fan of Jamba Juice, but I remember when bubble teas first came to the town my parents lived in and they acted like they had discovered the 8th great wonder of the world!
I lived in Utah prior to Boise and Sodalicious and Swig are big sellers there. Not so much in Boise. Instead, you'll find a coffee shop on just about every corner.
So, out with the old, in with the new. The New York based chain, Tbaar, also serves up coffee, lemonade, cakes, and other treats.
The new Boise store will be near Centennial High School, so it's sure to attract the High School kids. Jamba has just one remaining location inside the Boise Towne Square Mall.
