For some reason, there is no shortage of castle homes in Idaho! 

Some look more like castles than others. The Von Frandsen Castle in Sagle might be the most authentic of these castle homes. From what we’ve read about the castle, only traditional methods were used to build it. Supposedly, there were no modern cranes or technology used while building it.

People either love or hate the castle on Warm Springs in Boise. There’s really no in-between. It has some more modern touches inside than the Von Frandsen castle, but it still has an old-world feel to it.  Castle Gardens in Kuna? It looks like a castle on the outside, but short of the big ballroom when you walk in, it’s basically just a regular luxury house.

And then there’s this home for sale in Eagle. It has enough castle elements for us to lump it in with these other spectacular castle homes around the state. The incredibly cool features it has both inside and outside should earn it the nickname of being an “entertainment castle.”

Located at 1700 E Warm Springs Avenue, the "Boise Castle" was the vision of local entrepreneur, Dr. Timothy Barber. Barber helped launch several companies including ClickBank and Keynetics. It was sold to new owners in 2019, but thanks to the Internet Archive, we were able to dig up some cool "did you know" facts about one of the most unique buildings in Boise!
