Top 10 School Districts in Idaho with the Slowest Internet
There’s nothing more frustrating than having slow internet — especially when you’re trying to get something really important done. Internet really is a necessity these days. Whether you’re working from home, going to school, or running your own business i.e., everyone needs a strong internet connection these days.
One thing is for sure, though, internet (and our access to it) has come a really long way. It used to not matter if you didn’t have a great connection — but now it’s like the most important thing to have in the classroom.
There’s a recent article from Stacker that breaks down the school districts in Idaho that have the slowest internet. They said...
"As more schools integrate technology into the classroom, the need for fast, reliable internet is even greater. In 2020, the FCC upped the bandwidth minimum to 1 Mbps per student—10 times faster than the previous minimum. Nearly 6 in 10 school districts met or exceeded that benchmark in 2021—a 25% increase year over year, according to an analysis from Connect K-12.”
In their article they also share that 28 million U.S. students do not have “adequate internet speeds to effectively and regularly engage in digital classroom learning.”
