During his set, there was a powerful moment where Jelly Roll paused to recognize fans in the crowd, a father and daughter who were holding up a sign. He said...

"I've been watching your sign all night. Can I see this little fan?" The crowd shifted so Jelly Roll could see the little girl, and he said, "Right there. What's up?! I just wanted to see your face. Poor thing, I've seen your sign all night, so now I get to see you. Thank you for coming girl."

He proceeded to tell them that because they've been respectful with their sign, he wanted to bring them backstage after his set so he can hear their story.

The father and daughter who got to meet Jelly Roll are Justin and Meriyia from Fairfield, Idaho.

We were fortunate to hear from them about their heartfelt experience with Jelly Roll. They said they were in total shock when Jelly pointed them out, and that the experience was, "an emotional rollercoaster!"

Justin says, "I didn't know how to feel. I was so happy. I myself have been a fan for quite a while, but Meriyia and her brother Wesley have been listening for 5 years, and Meriyia has become a huge fan of his."

These are OG fans, y'all! Jelly Roll has absolutely skyrocketed in popularity over the last year or two, but this Idaho family has been listening for a little over 5 years!

What was the process like going backstage to see Jelly Roll?

Justin says, "After Jelly finished the set, I was worried he may forget... but about a half a minute after he walked away, one of his guys came over to the railing where we were and asked us how many there were. (Just the two of us) and he had us follow him backstage."

"Walking back there didn't seem real almost," says Meriyia, "and I was happy, scared, and excited!" She also wanted to share that her favorite song from Jelly Roll is, "Creature," and that she really loves his latest album, but her Jelly roots go back to his rap days.

"This was one of the best things anyone could ever hope for," says Justin.
