I hate people who try to scam other people out of their money.  They prey on the people who can afford to lose their money the least, people living on fixed incomes like senior citizens and people who are out of a job. This scam works because it makes you think that Walmart is giving you a little something extra. Instead it's doing the exact opposite.

If I had my way scammers who were caught would not go to jail they would be hanged and go straight to hell. This particular scam really infuriates me because it's very easy to fall for and it would empty out your entire bank account.

The way it works according to somedaily.com is that you receive a check from Walmart in the mail informing you that you have been chosen for a position with Walmart in Quality Control.  If you are interested in the position, just deposit the check and follow the instructions for your new career.  It even lays out what you can expect to be paid on a weekly basis for training and as a salary after you are trained.

Do not cash the check!!!  It will allow access to your account, which the thieves then clean out.

One give away is that the check you receive is from Wachovia Bank.  While Wachovia used to be a real bank it isn't any longer. It was bought out by Wells Fargo and no longer exists.

Please pass this on by sharing to all your friends and family, to stop this scam.  Knowledge is power.
