What's your favorite, least favorite or most terrifying Idaho summer bug? I know it's a weird question, but let's dive in.

The other night I was sitting in my backyard and I saw my dog getting after this giant preying mantis, but it wasn't a normal green one, it was this odd brown one. He climbed up my sliding glass door and hung out there for a good portion of the evening and I thought, "I'm down with this one."

What I'm not down with, is any kind of spider. Look, I know spiders are kind of cool and I saw this one amazing spider building a web on the greenbelt under a bridge a few weeks ago, but I just can't rock with spiders. I respect them, but I'm good without them. Black widows are for the birds. For some reason I am completely terrified of them and I think they can kill me. At the very least, they can definitely kill my small dogs.

So what creature has caught your eye? Good, bad or otherwise here in this Idaho summer?
