Now the best city in the COUNTRY for young professionals, believe it or not, is Madison, Wisconsin. It's also been broken down by state, are you surprised at Idaho's?

Boise is the winner in Idaho! Are you surprised? This is a study that was published by Zippia, and here's the criteria:

  • Number of Singles
  • Median Income
  • Average rent
  • Unemployment

Not surprising when you think of how quickly our community is growing, and yes housing has gotten more and more expensive, but if you're just a single person looking to rent a one bedroom apartment, you can probably find yourself a pretty good deal. AND, there are a ton of other singles ready and looking. Pandemic aside, that's not a bad deal. Plus, the pay here tends to be pretty good as well as job availability, so I'm certainly not surprised. I'd take a Boise, Idaho over a Madison, Wisconsin ANY DAY OF THE WEEK and I'm sure if they added weather and recreational activities onto this list, we would have made the top 10, here's Zippia's list:

10 Best Cities For Young Professionals

  1. Madison, Wisconsin
  2. Fargo, North Dakota
  3. Salt Lake City, Utah
  4. Raleigh, North Carolina
  5. Cambridge, Massachusetts
  6. Charleston, South Carolina
  7. Arlington, Virginia
  8. Lincoln, Nebraska
  9. St. Paul, Minnesota
  10. Nashville, Tennessee

A lot of freezing cold places on that list that I think we would rush past if weather was a part of the equation in this study. So good on ya to the single people, get out there and find some love, you young sexy, professional!
