I'm already predicting the headlines for Tuesday after Memorial Day, "Americans traveled more this holiday weekend than any occasion in the last 10 years." That may be somewhat extreme, but I don't think it too off what you might hear.

This is going to be a massive traveling weekend due to the pandemic slowing down. Idahoans are vaccinated, masks are off and places are open for business. Gas prices are also going up and Idaho is one of the highest.

I remember filling up my Jeep Wrangler during the winter months with an amazing $30 total. It was my reaction that was priceless. Rates just dropped. Well, that's all coming to an end and the normalcy we wished for is here. Gas prices are booming with no end in sight and Idaho ranks a whopping #9.

The head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, Patrick De Haan, made this statement regarding travel and purchase.

We could fully return to normal levels as early as this weekend as it appears demand ahead of this holiday is looking quite high. West Coast prices tend to be higher.

So, there's no looking back now because things are going to dip anytime soon. There has been so much movement in real estate from California that you can expect even more travel. People travel to Utah, California, Oregon, Nevada, and Washington. You might want to gas us before leaving the Gem State.

Costco looks to be the cheapest place to grab gas by at least 20 cents on the higher end. You can find it for $3.23 at the Phillips 66 on 1565 E Deer Flat Rd & N Kuna-Meridian Rd. $3.19 at Costco has me sold though. You could even make it a date night with $1.50 hot dog and soda, cheap gas, and the car wash is like another $6. We're out of control over here!

All those places I meant that we travel are also on the list for the highest gas prices.

Aren't we lucky?

20 chilling photos of the empty streets in downtown boise during the 2020 Pandemic

This is what Downtown Boise looked like during the first month of the pandemic back in 2019. A friend of mine took these photos with his son as the streets were empty and locked down to Idaho. This is a dark and quiet time that we'll never forget.

LOOK: Here Are 30 Foods That Are Poisonous to Dogs

To prepare yourself for a potential incident, always keep your vet's phone number handy, along with an after-hours clinic you can call in an emergency. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center also has a hotline you can call at (888) 426-4435 for advice.

Even with all of these resources, however, the best cure for food poisoning is preventing it in the first place. To give you an idea of what human foods can be dangerous, Stacker has put together a slideshow of 30 common foods to avoid. Take a look to see if there are any that surprise you.
