While some are people are super excited about the three COVID-19 vaccines that are being rolled out, a lot of others are frustrated because they will not be eligible to receive their shot anytime soon. The good news is that many may be frustrated for no reason. What if I told you that there is a way to get the vaccine now even if your life group is not officially eligible? There is a way to make that happen and it's called the "No waste waitlist"

"When we went in and got on the list, it was written down on a college-ruled pad of paper," Schlangen told ktvb . "[The pharmacist] took our names, she said, 'OK, you're going to get a call from Arkansas. You know pick up the phone, and you'll have 30 minutes to get here in order to get the vaccine.'"

As you might of heard the vaccines need to be kept in subzero temps in order to preserve them. Once the packages are opened, time is ticking and those vaccines need to be utilized otherwise they will go bad. This is where the "No waste waitlist " comes in.

"There's a bunch of people who need it more than I do who would probably get really sick, but at the same time you don't want the vaccine to go to waste," Schlangen said in his ktvb interview. "Talking to the professionals that were administering the shots, they said they had to use them and they had more, at least the person I talked to said they had more cancellations and no-shows than they did people that were signed up on the waiting list."

It's important to note that only Albertson's and Walmart have these list.  How do you get on this list? The best way is the old fashioned way...call your local Walmart or Albertsons.
