GoFundMe Set Up For Meridian Man Killed in Suspected DUI Crash
It was just yesterday that we reported on the story of a 36 year old Meridian man who was killed this past weekend during a suspected DUI crash. Herbie Moran was traveling in his 2004 Ford Mustang on Ten Mile and Ustick Road and was hit from behind at a high rate of speed by a 2005 Toyota Avalon driven by 23 year old Courtni Verity.
Unfortunately, Herbie was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from his vehicle and dead at the scene. Alcohol is suspected in playing a role in this crash. Courtni is being held on a $500,000 bond on charges of vehicular manslaughter at the Ada County Jail.
Obviously Herbie's family was not prepared for the passing of their family member so a GoFundMe account has been set up to help the Moran family with funeral costs. In less than 24 hours the account has raised almost $1,500 with a current goal of $18,000. The Moran posted on the account page saying "Rather it's a dollar, a prayer, or a share. All is appreciated."
