Displaced by New Development, Farmstead Announces New Home for 2019
When Idaho Central Credit Union purchased the 51.6 acre property the autumn family favorite sat on, The Farmstead let fans know that they'd be back in 2019 but in a new location!
In November, we told you that ICCU only planed on using 12 acres of the land for themselves and sold the rest of the property to Ball Ventures Ahlquist. Spearheaded by former republican gubernatorial candidate, Tommy Ahlquist, the new development could include a hotel, retail space, housing and medical offices in addition to the ICCU building.
Jim and Hillary, who've operated the Farmstead for years, promised to update Facebook followers with the new location once all the odds and ends from the 2018 season were tied up. Today is that day! The Farmstead has announced that they're moving to Kuna in 2019. When this year's season begins, you'll find them at 2500 South Eagle Road, Kuna (they say make sure you add "Kuna" to the address when using your phone's GPS or you'll get the wrong directions.)
While we'll miss seeing Rusty the Very Big Beast from I-84 on the way to the farm, we're excited to find out that he, along with your other favorite Farmstead attractions will make the trip with the Lowe family to Kuna. The new location will also allow the Farmstead to grow and include some new attractions that didn't quite work at the Meridian location.
The 2019 season opens September 20.
