Did Your School Make This Year’s List of Top Idaho Schools?

It's always nice knowing that the school district that you're sending your kids to gets ranked as a top rated school. Some incoming Idaho residents will or can even use this list to base where they want to live...or if you're like me, you can see how your old high school is doing when it comes to education.

Backgroundchecks.org has released their annual list of the top school districts in Idaho. Did your school make the top of the list?

Rankings are based on student performance, (math and reading test scores), dropout rates, school funding and poverty rates for the area.

The top school district in Idaho is the McCall-Donnelly School District, located in beautiful mountains of Valley County, a renowned resort destination with an abundance of outdoor activities and recreation. Partly because of the quality of the community and its schools. Based in McCall, MDSD’s enrollment has increased four years in a row.

Ranked second is another mountain area school district that's close to the Treasure Valley. Garden Valley School District, is a modest-sized school system of four schools based in Garden Valley.

Believe it or not, a third mountain area school makes the list at number 3 - Blaine School District, located in Hailey, ID and comprised of eight schools, comes in third. The district is well-funded and boasts a graduation rate well above the national average.

Fourth-ranked Moscow School District and serves the community of Moscow, a major agricultural hub and home to the University of Idaho.
