In the most revolting way possible, the new cheap hand sanitizer that is floating around in mass quantities makes me regret many decisions I made in my early 20's.

The sense of smell is more closely linked with memories than any other sense. I don't know how it is for everyone else, but my sense of smell triggers memories of elementary school cafeterias, certain perfumes remind me of specific teachers from my childhood, the smell of grass reminds me of marching band camp, and the smell of this new, cheap awful hand sanitizer reminds me of my early twenties.

I think it smells like tequila. And in my experience, no good night, in my twenties, started with tequila. Tequila is like a fast pass to vomit-ville for me. So every time I smell that awful hand sanitizer I think back to nights where I was hunched over in a Denny's parking lot. Good times!
