The law enforcement community in the Treasure Valley is fantastic, and these men and women take their jobs very seriously. That's why when they receive such high honors such as Caldwell Police Chief Frank Wyant just did these moments should be highlighted and celebrated.

Police Chief Wyant was just awarded the POST Executive Certificate, the highest certificate awarded to police officers in the state of Idaho according to the Idaho Press. The award was given at the Caldwell City Council meeting last Tuesday.

Not only does Chief Wyant look out for the citizens of Idaho but he is also a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the Idaho Chiefs of Police Association. Basically the man is always working to improve our community, state, and entire nation.

It is a true privilege for all of us to live in a place where our law enforcement cares so much to keep us safe. Obviously, there are a lot of places where that isn't the case.

On top of all of his work duties Chief Wyant coaches sports, is a mentor, has served on the Salvation Army board, and for 14 years has worked on the board for the Caldwell Night Rodeo. If you know Chief Wyant personally please take the time to reach out and congratulate him on his well deserved recognition.
