BREAKING: Police Close Roads in Kuna While Searching for Suspect

UPDATE 7:04am: Police say the suspect fired shots at police and the car has been found. Every entrance to subdivisions in the area has been blocked still searching for the suspect. Cars leaving those neighborhoods are being stopped and searched by officers carrying rifles.

Reed Elementary School has been closed by the Kuna School District. If your child has already headed to school on a bus, they will be taken to Kuna High School and you can pick them up there.

Police have shut down roads in Kuna stretching about a mile, including Hubbard and Deer Flat roads between Meridian Road and Linder Road.

Kuna Police sent out a Code Red Emergency Alert telling people to stay inside their homes as they shut down the roads to search for a suspect who led officers on a chase. There are currently about 20 officers on scene. Police say the suspect is in a black BMW.

No other information has been released at this time. We will update as we learn more.
