Boise’s Winter Garden Lights Up This Thanksgiving
While taking a post-turkey nap should definitely be on your agenda for Thursday, so should attending Boise's Winter Garden Aglow. This display of over 380,000 lights is one of our family's favorite parts of the holidays in Boise and it's lighting up for the winter season on Thanksgiving night!
Though the Idaho Botanical Garden is a beautiful place in the daylight, it is absolutely stunning at night. We love grabbing cookies and hot chocolate and strolling through the colorful lights. Our toddler, Cooper, enjoys the model train and visiting with Santa. On certain nights you can even hear carolers singing Christmas tunes. In short - this is the place to go if you're seeking a little holiday magic.
Opening night of the Winter Garden is Thanksgiving Thursday, but you can catch this spectacular event until January 1st. The garden is open nightly from 6pm-8:45pm. Adults are $12 at the gate, Idaho Botanical Garden members and youths (5-12) are $10, and children under 4 and under are FREE. For $2 off your ticket price, purchase tickets in advance, HERE!
