Boise Favorite Will Shut It’s Doors After This Week
2022 hasn't been easy on the food industry with various businesses experiencing difficulty bouncing back from staff shortages, risings costs, etc. Now, the Treasure Valley will have to bid farewell to another local favorite that will close after this week.
The end of an era... for good?
In posts to social media this week, Boise favorite Mad Mac announced that they will be shutting their doors at Boise Spectrum permanently.
"It is with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closing of our Mad Mac restaurant at Boise Spectrum," the business shared in the post.
"We can't express enough, our immense appreciation for every single person who has come through our doors and supported our small business over the past 5 years. We are grateful for the friendships we have made and look forward to seeing you again soon."
This won't be the first time Mad Mac shut its doors either. Back in 2021, we shared with you Mad Mac's dramatic return after a 5-month hiatus. While we can all hold out hope for them to reopen soon, there was no mention of plans to make another triumphant return. However, they did share that locals will still be able to enjoy their delicious mac and cheese bowls sooner than later.
"This restaurant closure does not affect our Mad Mac Food Truck. The truck will be closed for the winter, per usual, but will reopen again in the spring."
For now, locals can enjoy the brick-and-mortar location of Mad Mac at Boise Spectrum for one more week before having to wait til spring to enjoy their tasty food again.
