Ada County Paramedics is being awarded at a national convention later this month for their campaign to help prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Syndrome (SUIDS).

They are teaching the public about a very important acronym to help prevent sleep-related SIDS. Their "ABC's of Safe Sleep Campaign” helps remind people about the safest sleep environments for babies. “ABC” stands for, Alone, on their Back, in their own Crib.

The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare have even been putting signs on the back of ambulances. So when they are stopped and people are behind them, they read it, remember it, and it could change lives forever.
