For most of us, Christmas time means a focus on our own living rooms and filling the space under our trees.  It's also a time you can help friends and neighbors in need.

That's why all of us at Mix 106 are excited to be a part of 7 Cares Idaho Shares day with our news partner KTVB Newschannel 7.  Saturday, starting at 7:30 a.m., you can join Carly, me, and our Mix Team at Eagle Island Fred Meyer along with our friends at Channel 7.

You can donate cash, clothes, non-perishable food items, and with a quick stop, help change someone's Christmas season.

We will be partnering with you to benefit 9 Idaho charities making a big difference in our community.  These include:

  • The Idaho Foodbank
  • The Salvation Army of Caldwell
  • River of Life
  • City Light Home for Women and Children
  • The Lighthouse Rescue Mission of Nampa
  • Valley Women and Children's Shelter of Nampa
  • The Salvation Army of Nampa
  • The Salvation Army of Ada County
  • The Salvation Army of Twin Falls

This effort feeds hungry families, helps provide housing, gathers cash donations, and makes the holidays brighter for neighbors in need.

There are dropoff locations around the Treasure Valley including Albertsons Stadium downtown, Albertsons Market Street in Meridian, and Fred Meyer in Twin Falls.  You can also give online if you can't make it out with us at 7CaresIdahoShares.org.

Channel 7 is also offering a special gift for donors who give at least 7 food items or $7 at the live broadcast locations (including ours at Eagle Island Fred Meyer): a First Alert Weather ice scraper mitt.
