We’re Now Paying Less At The Post Office In Idaho And Across The Country

It's almost always the other way around, but if you bought stamps, mailed a package, or sent a post card this week, you're paying less than you were last week. 

For the first time in 100 years, the United States Postal Service reduced the price of a stamp for letters from 49 cents to 47 cents, and post cards from 35 cents to 34 cents.

This was a result of a Congressional Mandate to roll back the temporary price increase instituted several years ago to help the USPS survive the economic downturn.

Postal officials say this will amount to 2 billion dollars in losses on top of their existing financial struggles.
