Wayne’s World Gives Local Idaho Restaurants A Super Bowl Shout Out
Mike Myers and Dana Carvey reunited on Sunday during the Super Bowl to bring back two of America's favorite "tv show hosts" from the 90's, Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar. Oh and Cardi B was there too! I mean what better way to encourage support of local restaurants than through a local public access television show.
While the nostalgic commercial spot was only 60 seconds, there is an extended version of the ad on YouTube that's around TWO AND A HALF HOURS LONG (just call this Wayne's World 3) and gives recognition to a total of 89,151 local restaurants all over the country. Idaho restaurants are featured right at the 01:00:34 mark. Close to 300 local Idaho restaurants are mentioned!
For those who stick around for the whole two hours for whatever reasons, there's a few special Alice Cooper cameos in store. Keep an eye out at for Alice Cooper talking football at 2:20:40 and the legend returning for a jam session at 2:24:20. He also plays an accordion solo somewhere in there too.
As part of the entire campaign, Uber Eats is setting up a $20 million Eat Local Relief Effort that will benefit independently owned restaurants over the next six months. Local Idaho restaurants will certainly be included in this.
