Two Girls Were Hit in Crosswalk by a Distracted Driver
KTVB reported that two girls, 13 and 15 years old, were taken to the hospital yesterday after police say they were hit by a car while crossing the street in a crosswalk.
It happened on Cherry Lane in front of Compass Charter School.
Meridian Police said the girls were walking to the school to catch their bus when they were hit. The driver had dropped her coffee and looked down right before she hit them.
They were taken to the hospital. Their injuries don’t seem to be life threatening but they do both have broken bones.
