I have been looking for some video from that historic night at the Boise Towne Square Mall for years. This was the first and last time we ever saw the doors open at 1 a.m. on Black Friday.

Do you remember or did you take part in this mayhem? Do you remember getting up early on a Friday morning to catch the big sale? Let's take you back down Boise memory lane on Black Friday in 2007.

Things Hot That We Wanted in 2017

This was all about Beyonce, Rihanna, Gwen Stefani, Akon, Fergie, and Justin Timberlake just brought sexy back. American Idol was still the only singing competition and Jordan Sparks won the 2007 competition. Oh, try to get your hands on a Nintendo Wii, good luck! Boise was still living the Fiesta Bowl dream.

Bring on Black Friday! Can you believe we actually spent almost $200 on the Apple iPod Nano? No, you couldn't text, check email, download apps or call a friend. You played music and we bought them.

Black Friday was also where we received those special discounts and sometimes only at certain stores. The mall is where everyone wanted to visit and that wish was granted. The problem is we didn't exactly know how to act and this was the last time that the Boise Towne Square Mall opened at 1 a.m.

Sweet Idaho Turns Angry on Black Friday

It was crazy. Boise Towne Square Mall estimated over 30,000 people showed up for the deals. People lined up at every entrance on Thanksgiving back on November 22, 2007. This thing was nuts, but the video wasn't as crazy then. If this would have happened today you would see hundreds of videos on different social media platforms. You didn't have TikTok or Instagram. Nobody was going live on Facebook and I'm not even sure if you could then. Also, these videos can be somewhat shaky considering technology in 2007.

Enjoy your not-so-distant past and look at us go. I'm would be surprised if this didn't give you anxiety just watching. Can you believe Black Friday was like this all over the country for decades? We just order online now and DoorDash our coffee.

I could only find two videos, but I can remember is like things happened yesterday.
