They'd rather be skipping the Pro Bowl this weekend to get ready for the Super Bowl instead, but it's still a big honor to be selected to play with the best of the best in the NFL's all-star game.  And there are several players with Boise State ties headed to Orlando to play in Sunday's Pro Bowl.

Leighton Vander Esch has had an unbelievable season for the Dallas Cowboys.  He was hot right out of the gate at the beginning of the season, and he stayed hot, proving that he's no flash-in-the-pan and he's going to have a long and pretty special NFL career.  It seemed like he was in on just about every tackle for the Cowboys, and he caught on with the viral wolf-howl celebration too.  We hope he breaks out a couple of those on Sunday.  We'll be watching.

Another top player with Boise State ties to make this Sunday's Pro Bowl would be the Broncos' former offensive lineman, Charles Leno, Jr.  He's in his fifth season with the Chicago Bears, and was added to the all-star roster this week after a New Orleans Saint opted out with an injury.  Leno will be planning a wedding this off-season too after making headlines December 16th by proposing to his girlfriend on the field after a win against the Green Bay Packers.

Former Bronco DeMarcus Lawrence made the Pro Bowl roster for the Dallas Cowboys too, along with Leighton Vander Esch.

The Pro Bowl is always a good opportunity to test snack recipes and beverage concoctions before the big game on February 3rd.  Break out the warm-up drills for chip-bag-opening and dip-stirring this Sunday, and decide how you want to position the cooler.  The big game party is only a week away.

Pro Bowl players a picked by votes from fans, players and coaches, and they'll hit the field at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, FL this Sunday at 1 pm on ESPN.  Get your snacks ready.
