Did You Make A New Years Resolution To Get Into Better Shape This Year? How About the Perfect music Playlist to help you out during you workout or run? Some scientists with too much free time on their hands just did a study to determine the ULTIMATE WORKOUT PLAYLIST.  They looked at millions of Spotify playlists and came up with the songs that have the best tempos for different kinds of exercise.   (Check out the PERFECT playlist for a workout below)

You're supposed to start off with Katy Perry's "Roar", to help you get psyched up.  Its tempo is 92 beats per minute.  If you're wondering what kind of researcher considers this a scientific study . . . it was a group of sports psychologists from Brunel University in London. ....The team analyzed millions of songs on Spotify playlists containing the word ‘workout’ in the title and compared the different beats per minute to those used in certain workouts. …..whereas rock music should be avoided during cardio and high-intensity workouts because the different changes in tempo can affect a person’s rhythm.
