Grilling is the Top Labor Day Activity in Boise
It's going to smell like pork butts and burgers this weekend across the Treasure Valley. Boise is a grilling machine, according to a new survey, and there are only a few places that beat us. But what are we cookin'?
A new Budweiser survey says about 200 million Americans will grill over the Labor Day weekend, and we'll eat burgers and hot dogs more than ribs or chicken.
They broke it down by region, and learned that the East Coast holds the most cookouts (probably because the weather is about to turn iffy and they want to squeeze out every bit of summer that they can). The west is a close second, and in fact 68 percent of Idahoans feel like the barbecue grill is the most essential Labor Day Weekend accessory. So get ready for the pork butt potpourri.
Of all the beer drinkers at the back yard party, do you feel like the ones who drink domestic brews are more laid back and approachable than the people who drink imports? That's what the survey found, especially with women. Domestic beers will be the drink of choice for 44 percent of us in Idaho.
The PR firm for Budweiser sent me some other tidbits directly and here they are.
