Imagine a car accident injures your left leg so severely that eventually it has to be amputated.  And you're a busy mother of five.  Check out this story.

Rachel Vasquez told 7KTVB.com that it was a hard decision to make to have her leg amputated, but after several surgeries and ongoing problems, she decided to do it and move on with her life.

She was outfitted with a prosthetic walking leg, and ran her first 5K in March.   What she really needed though was a running leg.  After applying for a grant and getting it, she went to Nashville to get a running leg free of charge.  And its' a Boise-State themed leg!  How super cool is that?!

What an inspiration Rachel is.  She's got five kids, she runs, she overcomes, and she takes charge of her life.  She is proof that we can accomplish anything we set our minds to ladies, if we put one foot in front of the other.  And start somewhere.

With FitOne coming up on Saturday, we're bound to see inspirational runners like Rachel out on the course.  That's great inspiration to start mowing down your own personal goals.

We'll see you at the FitOne Expo today from Noon to 8pm, and Friday from 10am to 8pm.  And the 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon on Saturday in Downtown Boise.  I'm inspired!
