These Chain Stores Are Dying In Idaho
We've seen a lot of brick and mortar stores close over the last few years as online shopping continues to boom. Here's the list of chains that we may see go buh-bye in Idaho.
These stores haven't announced they are closing yet, but msn.com says they aren't doing well in Idaho, so they are definitely at risk.
- Pier 1 Imports
- Chico's
- GAP
- A.C. Moore
- Office Depot
- Bed Bath & Beyond
- Sears
- Kmart
- Christopher & Banks
- Macy's
- CVS Pharmacy
Bed Bath & Beyond just announced they are closing 40 stores across the country last week, and Idaho is not on the initial hit list, but apparently they aren't doing well, so we could end up on the chopping block.
Pier 1 Imports announced at the turn of 2020 that they will be closing 450 stores across the country, but the impact that will have on Treasure Valley stores is still unclear.
I'd let this list serve as a warning though that we may have to say goodbye to these stores in the next couple years. The only way to have a chance at saving them is to shop at them instead of buying online. If we don't shop there, I guess we can't complain if they go away!
We'll keep you posted if and when official closures of these stores are announced.
