All this hype for an event that only lasts two minutes?

Well, not quite. It's actually a lot longer than that.

All over Idaho you'll be able to view the Total Solar Eclipse with a front row seat (here's the BEST spots to view it.) The good news is, it won't be gone in the blink of an eye like some of us thought. The entire eclipse lasts about two hours starting around 10 a.m. and ending just before 1 p.m on August 21st here in Idaho. Here are the exact times:

  • Start of eclipse: 10:10 a.m.
  • Maximum eclipse: 11:27 a.m.
  • End of eclipse: 12:50 p.m.

The times will very ever so slightly depending on where you are in Idaho, but you get the idea.

As you prepare to watch history be made in the sky, make sure your pets are prepared as well. The eclipse could have some adverse effects on our furry friends.
