At high school football games tonight during the National Anthem, all the players will be standing, right?  Just as they always have.  There's just a little more attention on it now, since a handful of NFL players have gotten away from that. And there's new fallout for the guy who started it.

It's been well-publicized that Colin Kaepernick of the San Francisco 49ers started the big stir by kneeling during the National Anthem, and now there's a new repercussion.  He's the most "disliked player" in the NFL, according to a new survey.  He does have supporters too, that are in favor of his right to free speech and expression.

High school football in the Treasure Valley seems to be unaffected by the National Anthem controversy, and the players here are all about the business of what happens on the field.  They haven't made an effort to make any demonstrations before the game, and that could be the result of the coaching staff keeping a tight reign on things.

The Boise Braves are on the road tonight at Mountain Home in a conference game.  Good luck to all of the players in the Valley for being great at what you do.  You just might be earning more respect than some NFL players.
