The city of Nampa has announced another food distribution event this Wednesday with dairy, pre-cooked meats and produce items, no questions asked. Here's everything you need to know.

It's another drive-thru Community Food Distribution event with the Idaho Food Bank this Wednesday, February 24th at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, beginning at 11 a.m. and going until 4 p.m. or when the food is gone. According to the City of Nampa's Facebook post, there are no specific qualifications beyond a stated need for food. Since it's a drive-thru event, they'll come out to your car with pre-packaged boxes of food containing dairy items, pre-cooked meats and produce.

Since it is sort of a first come, first served event, it would be encouraged to try and show up as early in the day as possible for the best chances at getting food.

Food insecurity has become a pretty common occurrence in the past year or so since the Covid-19 pandemic began and you never know who in your life may be able to benefit from this, so it's certainly worth a quick share on Facebook.

As we personally learned during the 12 Days Of ChristMIX Toy Drive back in December, the Treasure Valley is quite a generous place and this is just another great example of our community coming together to help each other out in these crazy times. Thanks to all who have donated to the Idaho Food Bank locally to make this community food distribution event possible. And give the city of Nampa a follow on Facebook to learn more about future events like this one.
