Chicken, Pork, Fried Fish, and Live Music Bring Soul to Meridian This Weekend
Enjoy this weekend in the upper 80's because we head back to triple-digit temperatures the following week. Enjoy reasonable Summer weather before we're back!
You might be looking for something outdoors and as long as that smoke doesn't get too bad, I found a Soul Food Festival.
Boise Soul Food Festival in Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park
The tasty pallet of foods continues to grow in Boise as the city population increases from all over. I personally grew up in Texas until joining the United States Navy after High School. I've lived in the Northwest ever since and our culture diversifies by the minute. So does our food!
This weekend is the kick-off for the Boise Soul Food Festival happening on Saturday highlighting some of the tastiest soul food pates, period. You can get out and enjoy the night of Summer in Boise (without extreme temperatures), do some shopping at many of the vendors, take in some great live music and fill yourself with Soul Food favorites.
