I've often said it, that seeing a city from above gives you a far better view of the type of people that live there than being down on the ground. We have an amazing place we get the privilege to call home. The landscape of our once "small town" has now changed. The buildings are coming, and with the influx of more people means more hotels. Watching this beauty take shape is breathtaking.

Slated to open its doors in Downtown Boise this September, the new Residence Inn by Marriot at the corner of Myrtle and Capital has all the makings of a tip top hotel in the heart of a thriving and alive city. Our investigative buddies at BoiseDev.com have secured a pretty sweet video of the new hotel that has been in the works for the last year. You will have to slide on over and check it out to see the stunning time-lapse film by click here www.boisedev.com/

The city has seen a resurgence of new hotels, and life pumped back into the downtown area in the last year. The Inn at 500 right across the street from the new hotel, will help take some of the burdens off visitors coming to the Treasure Valley who are looking for a quick, convenient and affordable night stay. The proximity to the heart of the business center is a major plus for the increased number of hotels that have popped up over the last 12 months. On top of places to stay a new transit system has been put into play with the creation of the Main Street Bus Station. This underground bus station, still completely wow's me. Now we can really say to our kids the City is alive both above ground but also below. Either way, it's really something to see how big our once small quite hometown is getting.
