Possible COVID-19 Exposure at Six Downtown Boise Bars
As they say, knowledge is power, so even though we have moved into Governor Brad Little's Stage 4 of re-opening Idaho, be aware that some people have tested positive for COVID-19 after visiting six Downtown Boise bars last weekend.
The Central Health District told KTVB that people who visited the following bars June 5th and 6th could have possibly been exposed to the coronavirus.
- Amsterdam Lounge
- Cactus Bar
- Humpin' Hannah's
- Silly Birch
- Strange Love
- Tom Grainey's
Five people who went to these bars have tested positive for COVID-19 and there are another 5 probable cases. What does a probable case mean? It means they were around someone who tested positive, they have some symptoms, but they have not yet been tested.
Now obviously the bars have thoroughly sanitized since this incident last weekend, so you should be okay to go back this weekend. However, it raises the question, are we re-opening too soon? Do you still see people social distancing and wearing masks as Governor Little has recommended?
My "secret boyfriend" went to Quinn's Pond yesterday and he said there was no social distancing to be found. I've noticed the same thing as I've been out and about and I've noticed myself getting a little lazy about it all.
