Original Jurassic Park Returning to Treasure Valley Theaters
Can you believe that the original Jurassic Park is already 25 years old?
When the original Jurassic Park movie was released in 1993, it was an instant phenomenon. The CGI they used to bring the dinosaurs to life was groundbreaking in the early 90s and the film grossed over $914 million during it's first run. According to box office records, it unseated E.T. as the highest grossing movie of all time and held that honor until Titanic came out.
The original spawned two more sequels and the new Jurassic World trilogy. Two films from that trilogy have already been released and the third is expected to hit theaters in 2021.
If your favorite movie in the franchise is the original Jurassic Park, you've got a chance to relive the good old days and see it on the big screen! The Edwards Boise Stadium 21 & IMAX, in partnership with Fathom Events, is celebrating the film's 25th anniversary by showing it on Sunday, September 16 and Monday, September 18. It'll be accompanied by a 15 minute fan "remake."
