Crews Battling 2-Alarm Fire at Knitting Factory
Crews responded to the fire just as afternoon rush hour hit.
When I got home from my run, I noticed that my friend Aubree posted on Facebook that she thought the Knitting Factory was on fire based on an alert she got through the Pulse Point App. The free app is a way for citizens to help out those in emergency situations until first responders arrive. It shows locations where fire departments and EMS teams are headed to.
She was right. KTVB has confirmed that fire crews are battling a 2-alarm fire at the Downtown Boise concert house, blocking all lanes of 9th Street South between Front and Myrtle. The fire was called in at 5:03 p.m.
At this time, Boise Fire tells the news outlet that three people were treated for smoke inhalation on the scene and that the cause of the fire is under investigation.
This is a developing story and we'll keep you updated as soon as we hear more.
