My excitement about moving to Idaho and continuing my radio career here had a shadow looming over it since I landed in Boise back in June. The responsibility of finding an affordable, comfortable family home was on my shoulders. I hate to admit it, but my husband always took care of our housing situation.

A big obstacle was knowing what neighborhoods I should be searching. I didn't know anything about the Treasure Valley. I was fortunate enough to have coworkers and kind strangers on social media give me advice on what I should be looking for. I narrowed down my search to homes in Meridian.

From Albertsons Market Street, to Twigs inside The Village, to all the cute parks, Meridian has a chill, family friendly vibe without feeling lame. And in what can only be considered a miracle, I found a house, viewed it, put in an application, was approved, signed the lease, and was handed keys in a little over 24 hours. Feels meant to be.

Now all the logistical stuff is under way, which isn't terribly fun. But it is a major relief to finally become a real resident of this lovely state!
