Being new to the Treasure Valley is so much fun as I get to explore and check out so many new and fun things, including visiting the farmers market. If you haven't been to the Nampa Farmers Market it opened the last weekend in April and will be going through October. It takes place each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. regardless of any weather challenges. The farmers market is located in Lloyd Park Square at 13th and Front in Nampa.

One of my favorite parts of visiting the farmers market beyond visiting and meeting the vendors was the live music. To have some nice music to start your day outside was refreshing, and you can see a list of the musicians who will play at the Market by clicking here.

When talking about the vendors the first word that comes to mind is, variety. There is everything from Ag and Produce vendors, Craft vendors, Speciality Food vendors and Ready to Eat vendors.

Some tips I learned from vendors upon my first visit to the market include:

  1. Show up early if you want the best produce selection
  2. Bring smaller bills, although the market does accept credit and debit cards
  3. Bring a shopping bag, as most likely you're going to purchase something and take it home.
  4. Dogs are allowed but please be respectful of other market patrons, and bring something to clean up any dog mess that is made.

If you want any more details you can visit the Nampa Farmers Market website here, or their Facebook page here.
