As a child we are told that we can be anything we want to be. Unfortunately for many, we grow up and settle into jobs that aren't exactly what our 5-year-old-selves had in mind. As adults, we often go about our day jobs and forget our hobbies. However, there are the occasional few who continue to pursue those passions and use them to make a difference in the world. Here's one of the most inspiring stories I've heard about - a woman who is making a difference right here in Idaho.

Roro's Cookies is operated by the super talented Rose Gebran of Eagle, Idaho. Even though Rose stays busy as a mom and an accountant, she wanted to find a way to give back to the Treasure Valley community. Putting her baking and decorating skills to good use, she turns out some delicious confections that make great gifts...if you don't eat them all yourself.

The most amazing thing about Rose, however, isn't her ability to make cookies, but her selfless acts of kindness. While it's obvious that a ton of thought and effort gets put into each of her baking projects, she does not keep a single dollar for herself. That's right - she pays it forward by donating 100% of her sales to local charities!

Past recipients of Roro's donations include the Boise Women's and Children's Alliance and Make-a-Wish Foundation. In an announcement via social media this week, Rose announced that her next $1,000 will be going to Giraffe Laugh, a Boise early learning and childcare center serving low income and homeless families.

If you're looking for a sweet treat for your Valentine, Roro's Cookies is still taking Valentine pre-orders until the end of this week. These unique, handcrafted gifts range from $6-$20 and photos of the available designs can be found on Facebook and Instagram. The cookies will be ready for pick up on February 13th in Eagle.
