Spring Sprucing

There's nothing like a thorough spring cleaning to spruce up and declutter your home! But how many of us prioritize doing the same in our garages or sheds? If you're anything like us, those are the places where the harshest chemicals we use around our property are stored.

But after a while, you start to wonder how many pesticides, old cans of paint, and jugs of half-full antifreeze does one home need? Like the Goldfish crackers in the back seat of a minivan, your storage units are the place where your home's most toxic products go to die. Before you let it overwhelm you, the city of Kuna is ready to help you purge your hazardous waste.

Hazardous Waste Disposal

Kuna's curbside waste pick-up hosted by J&M Sanitation kicked off Monday, May 1st and ends this Friday, the 12th. During this time, Kuna residents have been ridding their homes of non-toxic bulky waste like old furniture, sofas, toys, barbeque grills, and mattresses.

Saturday, May 13th, however, is the day residents can bring their household hazardous waste to 680 Swan Falls Rd. in Kuna. Between the hours of 9am and 3pm, citizens can dispose of paint thinner, pool chemicals, wood stains, auto fluids and more. Check out the complete list of what you can and can't bring to the event below.
