He's the real life Willy Wonka and this is the real life golden ticket contest! Candyman and inventor of the Jelly Bean, David Klein announced in a news release, that a number of gold ticket treasure hunts will be launched across the country. Thousands of dollars will be given away in multiple prizes. Plus, one lucky grand-prize winner will be given their own candy factory! Much like the classic story, Klein says he is ready to retire and give up the business but before he goes out he wants to give back to all the candy lovers like himself.

According to the press release, Klein says he his partner have already started hiding tickets throughout the U.S. in the form of necklaces. The plan is to have treasure hunts for these gold tickets in each and every state. The hunt in Idaho has yet to begin but be sure to keep an eye on the sign up page as some states are already at capacity!

Here's how you'll play according to The Gold Ticket's website: "The registered person who purchased the game play will be signed up in a private forum on Facebook. The day and time your treasure hunt starts, you will receive the riddle in your group. You will be looking for a Gold Ticket in the form of a necklace with a tag that includes a code you need to use to verify your find. Winners will receive $5,000."

It does cost a pretty penny of $49.99 to enter however with each hunt being limited to 1000 participants. Anyone who participates in at least one treasure hunt will have the chance to search for "the ultimate treasure", which will be the key to one of his candy factories and an all-expenses-paid trip and education to a candy-making university.
