Zoo Boise Welcomes A Wolverine For The Ages

We're happy to report that we found a positive news story to share in 2026, so gather 'round!

Zoo Boise has a new arrival, and she's quite possibly the most adorable creature you've ever seen.

Meet Laura, Zoo Boise's new 11-month old wolverine!

Laura is a cute and cuddly (we're guessing) import from ZooMontana, making her new home here in the City of Trees. Where, exactly? In Zoo Boise's renovated wolverine habitat. Plenty of room for Laura to get cozy, learn, and explore!

While, yes, Laura is completely adorable, wolverines in the wild are not. If you encounter a wolverine out in the wilderness, do not approach them. While they may not have retractable adamantium claws, they can still do a serious amount of damage to human flesh if provoked.
