We live in a unique time these days and unfortunately, danger is lurking in the most unsuspecting places. You never really know when something's going to go down and you need to run for cover... or protect yourself.

Available when you need it... or run out?

Let's pretend for a moment: let's say that you're in a Walgreens, getting some ice cream when all of a sudden, a group of armed robbers rush into the store. You take out the firearm you carry on you and unload on them sons of you know what.

Oops! You have terrible aim because you haven't been able to make it to the shooting range due to a busy work schedule. Now you're in a pickle...

You've run out of ammo.

Not to worry though! Because if you were in some southern states like Texas or Oklahoma, you'd have access to a new vending machine they've begun placing in stores: an ammunition vending machine.

Being that you're in a deadly gunfight with multiple robbers, let's hope you're close to this ammo vending machine. If you're able to, you'd use some of the shelving as cover, go up to this vending machine, verify your age, scan your driver's license, wait for the 360 facial recognition via AI to confirm your ID is legit, pay for your bullets, and poof! You're locked and loaded, baby!

"Watch out, bad guys! I just put my wallet away, unpacked my bullets from the box thanks to the vending machine, and am currently loading up a clip to use in my firearm! You're screwed now!"

It's almost too perfect! Who would want to mess with you when you can purchase a box of hollow points with your pint of cookies and cream ice cream?

Perhaps you like to stock up (just in case) and simply forgot to stop at the sporting goods store; you're in luck! You can snag an ice-cold Coca-Cola and hit the vending machine next to it for a fresh box of FMJs!

What do you think? Do you want to see Idaho follow suit with the southern states and start placing ammo vending machines around the Treasure Valley? Where should they be placed?
